1. Furious 7

While Paul Walker is sorely missed in this franchise, the movie is still great to watch if you love all the other ones that came before it. Vin Diesel gives fans what they want: a final tribute to his partner that made the series what it was. Also features Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
2. Avengers: Age of Ultron
Release Date: April 22, 2015
This film is sure to be one of the biggest this year. Its plot involves our favorite superheroes questioning their full-time job status as Earth’s protectors. 3. Tomorrowland
Release Date: May 9, 2015
Not much is known about this film, but that makes it that much more appealing. All we can hope for are the trailers and some sort of leak. Other than that, all trust has to be put in the hands in the director that brought The Incredibles and Ratatouille.
Release Date: May 15, 2015
A remake of the Mel Gibson classic, this movie has everything we need: road battles, explosions, apocalyptic bad guys and Charlize Theron. Not particularly in that order. We’re betting this is a sit back, turn your brain off and enjoy movie.
5. Jurassic World
Release Date: June 12th, 2015
This film could go one of two ways: it could either reboot the entire rage behind Jurassic Park or it could kill it. However, the easter eggs to past films may be enough to keep old fans coming while the new actors and storyline help gain new followers. Either way, a Steven Spielberg film is obviously a must-see.
6. Ted 2
Release Date: June 26, 2015
Our favorite inappropriate teddy bear is back to prove his personhood in court in order to adopt a baby. We’re expecting the usual Seth MacFarlane humor complete with hookers, blow and teddy on human violence. You know, just a usual Tuesday night.
7. Terminator: Genisys
Release Date: July 1, 2015
A new Terminator film! Perhaps the biggest new name to this film belongs to Emilia Clarke, Mother of Dragons. She’s stepping into her new role as Sarah Conner. While people may snicker and poke fun, this is a must-see.
8. Ant-Man
Release Date: July 17, 2015
Con-Man Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd) is armed with a super suit that increases his strength yet shrinks his size. Yet another Marvel release, we’re putting this on our list purely for the charismatic Rudd.
9. Mission: Impossible 5
Release Date: July 31, 2015
The franchise keeps going and going thanks to Tom Cruise’s large (albeit questionable) fan-base. It has the usual action-packed scenes, near implausible plot, and the promise of a new mission. However, a new director aiming to put his stamp on the franchise, could determine whether or not this film makes it big.
10. The Fantastic Four
Release Date: August 7, 2015
We’ll put our money on these ragtag group of superheroes having to save earth. We’re down.
11. Pan
Release Date: October 9, 2015
Live-action remakes of Disney classics are becoming a real trend, seen with the release of Snow White and the Huntsman, Maleficent, Cinderella, and the rumored works of Beauty and the Beast and Mulan. Yet, with so many coming out, few have lived up to its animated predecessor. However, this project, headed by Joe Wright, might be the one to break the trend.
12. Crimson Peak
Release Date: October 16, 2015
Director Guillermo del Toro has been hit or miss for the last few years. But Crimson Peak, with it’s gothic horror feel, seems right up his alley. We’ll add this one to date night.
13. Spectre
Release Date: November 6, 2015
Daniel Craig is back to play James Bond in the 24th instalment of the series. When the trailer released, people weren’t talking so much about this particular 007, but the news that came with it. This will be Craig’s last Bond film, and taking his place will be Damian Lewis from Homeland. That’s right, a redhead Bond, everyone.
14. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2

15. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Release Date: December 18, 2015
It doesn’t matter how bad every Star Wars film is, we keep coming back for more. Only time will tell if this film is the one that satisfies old die-hards and gains the franchise new fans. But from the latest trailer it looks like under the helm of J.J. Abrams, Star Wars is really back.
16. Crouching Dragon Hidden Tiger II: The Green Destiny
Release Date: August 28, 2015
The trailer isn’t out yet, but if you saw the first one then you have to see this one. As Netflix takes over the media world, this will be the first film to premier on both Netflix and in IMAX theatres the same day.
`17. Point Break
Release Date: December 25, 2015
If you haven’t seen the original starring Keanu Reeves as an FBI agent with a mission and Patrick Swayze as a wiley, surfboarding bankrobber, you are missing out on one of the best bad movies of the 90s. One has to suspend all sorts of disbelief that they are remaking this movie, but we’ll put our money on it being awesome.
